Our Programs

PRELUDE
GRADES 2 - 4
Prelude is ECC’s welcoming introduction to musical theater for young performers in grades 2 through 4. This program focuses on building confidence, creativity, and foundational skills in singing, dancing, and acting—all through fun, engaging group work.
Students rehearse weekly and participate in both seasonal programming and a spring musical. Throughout the year, professional guest artists and vocal coaches lead special workshops on vocal technique, movement, and stage presence—giving our youngest performers early exposure to expert training in a supportive environment.
Recent productions include The Aristocats, with past shows like The Lion King, Frozen, Cinderella, and Aladdin.
COMPANY
GRADES 5 - 8
Company is ECC’s advanced performance program, offering a deeper dive into the world of musical theater for students in grades 5 through 8. With a focus on developing strong vocal technique, acting skills, choreography, and ensemble work, Company students participate in both a fall chorale program and a full spring production.
Throughout the season, outside experts in voice, movement, and theater arts lead workshops that help students grow as confident, well-rounded performers. These sessions give our Company ensemble the tools to elevate their stage presence and prepare for more advanced performance opportunities in high school and beyond.
Recent productions include Anastasia and Annie, with past shows like Mary Poppins, Moana, Seussical, and Into the Woods.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What is ECC and who can join?
Evergreen Children’s Chorale is a youth performing arts organization for students in 2nd through 8th grade. We welcome all young performers with a passion for singing, acting, and dancing—no prior experience required!
What types of shows do you perform each year?
Each fall, both our Prelude (grades 2–4) and Company (grades 5–8) groups come together for a combined chorale-style performance featuring ensemble singing and themed musical selections. In the spring, each group presents its own fully staged musical—giving every performer the opportunity to shine in a Broadway-style production.
Where and when are rehearsals held?
Rehearsals are typically held twice a week at Evergreen Lutheran Church, with additional rehearsals as performances approach. Our final week of rehearsals will be held at Center Stage. A detailed schedule will be provided upon acceptance.
How does ECC communicate with families?
We use the Band app and email to keep families informed of schedules, updates, and important announcements.
Can ECC perform at my event?
Absolutely! ECC performs at community events, fundraisers, and more. Connect with our Business Manager to bring our performers to your next gathering.
How do I sign my child up for auditions?
Audition registration is available on our website before each season. Once registered, you’ll receive details about what to prepare and when to attend. Sign up for our next round of auditions here
How much does it cost to participate, and how does it compare to other activities
Tuition for the season varies by program, but it typically ranges from $300–$500 per production and includes expert instruction, costumes, rehearsal materials, and performance experience. When broken down, the cost is comparable—or even less—than many other extracurriculars, averaging just $10–$15 per hour of professional-level training in singing, acting, and dance. Scholarships and payment plans are available to ensure all interested performers can participate.
Are parents required to volunteer?
Yes, as a non-profit we are dependent on families taking on a volunteer role during the season to help support our productions and community events. We offer a variety of options to fit your availability and skills.
How can I support ECC?
There are many ways to support us—donate, sponsor a show, purchase merchandise, or volunteer. Visit our "Support Us" page to learn more.

ECC Member Parent
“The progress my daughter has made in one year is amazing! She went from being too anxious to audition in September to stealing the show at the Spring performance. She’s definitely caught the bug and is going to be an ECC member as long as she can!”
